Leap posts FY99 loss

Leap Group, Chicago, reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $1.82 million, vs. net income of $133,000 for the same period a year ago. Consolidated revenue for the period, ended Jan. 31, fell 28.8% to $8.14 million. For the full year, Leap had a net loss of $18.3 million vs. a net loss of $5.6 million for fiscal 1998; revenue climbed 17.2% to $35.9 million. One bright spot was Internet-related business, where Quantum Leap Communications saw revenue climb 69% in fiscal '99.
