Leap reports 2nd-quarter profits

Leap Group, Chicago, reversing year-ago losses, reported net income of $74,000 in its second quarter and $88,000 for the first half. Second-quarter revenues rose 18.7% to $9 million, while first half revenue climbed 62% to $19.4 million from a year ago. Leap Group said its interactive subsidiary, Quantum Leap, experienced sharp growth in the quarter, while revenue of OneWorld Communications, its ethnic marketing shop, were hurt by cutbacks at client AT&T Corp.
