Legendary cyclist pulls in sponsors for Spanish race

Published on .

MADRID -- Legendary cyclist Miguel Indurain's decision to participate finally in this year's Vuelta Ciclista de Espana has attracted a number of last minute sponsors for the race.

Spanish drinks brand La Casera has stepped in as the official drink supplier, replacing Coca-Cola which dropped out after 20 years of involvement in the race.

Other new sponsors include Domecq, with its Power Horse energy drink, gin producer Larios, health insurance company Sanitas, and mineral water company Solan de Cabras. The largest sponsor continues to be beer company El Aguila.
