Leo Burnett buys stake in Giant Step

Leo Burnett Company today purchased an equity stake in Giant Step Productions, a multimedia company with whom Burnett has had an exclusive alliance since June 1994. Size of the stake was undisclosed. Located in Burnett's Chicago offices, Giant Step is now considered an integrated unit of the company and will continue to work with the traditional units of the agency to develop interactive programs for clients. Giant Step with Burnett have created Web sites for Maytag and United Airlines as well as areas on Microsoft Network and America Online for McDonald's and Kellogg's.
