Leo Burnett Co. finds solution for Sri Lanka market

COLOMBO-- Leo Burnett Co. has opened its 26th office in the Asia-Pacific region, a Colombo-based non-equity affiliate in Sri Lanka called Leo Burnett Solutions.

"The affiliation with Solutions completes the development of Leo Burnett's South Asian network," said Steve Gatfield, regional managing director of Leo Burnett Asia/Pacific.

Ranil de Silva, who founded Solutions in June, will become managing director of the new Burnett office. Mr. de Silva was formerly international VP and managing director of J. Walter Thompson Co., Colombo.

Leo Burnett Solutions already has several clients, including the agency of record business for Procter & Gamble Co., the Fuji Film account for Hayley's Photopoint, Orient Lanka's Domestic Liquor Agencies, Duty Free Shops and Johnnie Walkerbusiness and Kiriya Milk.
