(June 25, 2001) -- Levi Strauss & Co. is preparing to launch a new line of its Dockers brand slacks with its first major innovation in khaki pants. The Dockers Mobile khakis, being tested in Sacramento, Calif., have hidden pockets for cell phones, personal organizers and other gadgets. Advertising for the product, from agency Interpublic Group of Cos.' FCB Worldwide, San Francisco, breaks later this summer and features creative showing an X-ray of a person with the devices hidden in his pockets, a Levi Strauss spokesman said.
