Levi Strauss & Co. Monday opens a massive World Wide Web site that encompasses both its U.S. and European operations. Created by agencies Foote, Cone & Belding and Bartle Bogle Hegarty, London, in conjunction with Web developer Organic Online, the site includes reports on street fashion overseas and behind-the-scenes looks at Levi's popular ad campaigns.

Detroit Newspapers opts out of audit during strike
Detroit Newspapers Inc. has decided not to let the Audit Bureau of Circulations audit its circulation for the 10-week strike period, Crain's Detroit Business reported. The explanation is fuzzy, and most media experts believe Detroit Newspapers can't verify the circulation numbers it's claiming.
