Lewinsky is No. 2 in interviews

Published on .

Last night's "20/20" interview with Monica Lewinsky drew a 33.5 Nielsen rating and a 48 share for ABC, making it the second-highest-rated one-on-one interview in TV history. (No. 1 is a 1993 interview of Michael Jackson by Oprah Winfrey, which got a 39.3/56.) ABC had been telling buyers "20/20" would likely get a 45 share, but most buyers thought that was overly optimistic. Buyers reported ABC got an average of about $400,000 per 30-second spot for the broadcast. Today, buyers said they were very pleased with the numbers.
