For the third straight year, Toyota Motor Sales USA's Lexus, Nissan Motor Corp. USA's Infiniti and General Motors Corp.'s Saturn, respectively, were at the head of the class in the annual Car Satisfaction Index Study conducted by J.D. Power & Associates, the Agoura Hills, Calif.-based market research firm. The study analyzes owner satisfaction levels after one year of ownership. Overall, European brands collectively improved their scores enough to finish tied with Asian brands in having the highest average score on the index.
