Lifetime tests new net idea

Lifetime Television will take a concept for a new network targeting young females out for a road test when it launches "The Place," a 2-hour original programming block for 18-to-34-year-old women on Jan. 24, Electronic Media reports. Consisting of four half-hour series, "The Place" will air Fridays.
