Lighthouse nabs sports marketer

Lighthouse Holdings, Chicago, said it acquired 10-year-old International Sports Marketing from Allin Communications Corp., Pittsburgh. Terms were not disclosed. The sports marketer represents professional sports alumni groups (such as the NFL Alumni Players Association and Major League Baseball's Alumni Players Association) and has a client list that includes Aetna/U.S. Healthcare, Campbell Soup Co., Coca-Cola Co., Adolph Coors Co. and Nabisco. International Sports Marketing will become part of Lighthouse's sports marketing and event management group, which is headed by Daniel Wilhelm. Michael Fetchko, president of ISM, will continue in his role. Lighthouse, an investment group that is acquiring diversified marketing services companies, is separately in acquisition talks with Burrell Communications Group, Chicago, the leading African-American agency in the U.S.
