New Line Cinema's $120 million review of its media planning and buying account, which began in August, is down to two finalists, Carat
North America, Los Angeles, and Young & Rubicam's The Media Edge, New York, according to an insider at New Line. CIA Medianetworks, New York, and Horizon Media
, KSL Media, RNF Media and incumbent Independent Media Services, all Los Angeles, did not make the cut, the executive said. However, Bob Friedman, co-chairman of marketing at New Line and Neil Aronstam, Independent's president, said Independent is still in the review. Independent has handled the business for more than a decade.
