New Line narrows $120 mil acc’t review

Published on .

New Line Cinema's $120 million review of its media planning and buying account, which began in August, is down to two finalists, Carat North America, Los Angeles, and Young & Rubicam's The Media Edge, New York, according to an insider at New Line. CIA Medianetworks, New York, and Horizon Media, KSL Media, RNF Media and incumbent Independent Media Services, all Los Angeles, did not make the cut, the executive said. However, Bob Friedman, co-chairman of marketing at New Line and Neil Aronstam, Independent's president, said Independent is still in the review. Independent has handled the business for more than a decade.
