Local advertising group appoints board members

The Internet Local Advertising and Commerce Association, a group designed to promote local advertising and commerce between buyers and sellers on the Net, selected interim officers until an official board is elected by the membership later this year. Patrick Marshall, president of GTE New Media, becomes chairman; Peter Atkins, a group manager at Microsoft Corp., and Hal Logan, president of Vicinity Corp., were named co-vice chairmen; James D'Arcangelo, VP of the Kelsey Group, was named treasurer; and Kris Hagerman, president of BigBook, becomes secretary of the group.
