Lois acquires EJL

Publicly traded Lois/USA has acquired Eisaman Johns & Laws, Los Angeles, to form a combined ad agency called Lois/EJL. It will be wholly owned by holding company Lois/USA, New York, which is continuing to pursue other agency acquisitions. Combined billings are approximately $400 million, with nearly $40 million in revenues. Lois/USA has offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles while EJL has offices in Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago and Detroit. The overlapping offices in Los Angeles and Chicago will be combined. Lois/Colby, Los Angeles, will remain independent for now.
