NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- London-based Deepgroup, a digital communications shop employing 180 people, went into liquidation Monday.

The company's biggest subsidiary, digital agency Deepend, was best-known for award winning U.K. Web sites for clients like Volkswagen's New Beetle, Viacom's MTV and Hoover vacuum cleaners.

Over the past few years, the company opened Deepend offices in New York, San Francisco, Prague, Rome, Sydney and Toronto.
