Looksmart guide to reach 800,000 ISP subscribers

Reader's Digest Association announced a deal Aug. 18 with several major Internet service providers, making it the preferred guide and the default homepage for 800,000 ISP subscribers.

Looksmart's partners, which were announced at the Internet Service Provider Conference in San Francisco, include Concentric Network Corp., Internet America, Micron Internet Services and Rocky Mountain Internet. Looksmart includes a search engine, 1,200 subject categories, as well as local advertising and event information.
