Lot21 to open New York office

Published on .

Interactive agency Lot21, San Francisco, is looking for a place in New York to open an office, said Chief Operating Officer Eric Wheeler.

Mr. Wheeler said the agency plans to open the office by end of the September, followed by a European office in the first quarter next year. The New York office would allow it closer proximity to some of its major clients including Bank of America, Charlotte, N.C. and Real Media, New York.

Lot21 was founded in early last year by a group of former CNET employees, including President-CEO Kate Everett-Thorp. It had 34 employees by the end of '98 and projects to have 85 on staff by the end of this year. Mr. Wheeler said it'll soon start scouting talent for its New York office.
