Central CEO leaving
Bob Kreek is leaving as president-CEO of Comedy Central, which he helped build into a major cable network success story. Since January, Comedy Central's subscriber base is up by 5 million households to nearly 36 million and ratings are red-hot, with new program launches including cult hit "Absolutely Fabulous." Parent companies MTV Networks and Home Box Office are expected to name Doug Herzog, MTV: Music Television senior VP-programming and president of MTV Productions, to succeed Mr. Kreek, whose future plans are unknown.
