Low Lintas is best in auto-ad awards competition

Lowe Lintas & Partners Worldwide, New York, won Best of Show for a 60-second Mercedes-Benz USA TV spot Jan. 12 at the International Automotive Advertising Awards in Royal Oak, Mich. The commercial, showing renowned artists while cars gracefully move through an assembly plant, also won a gold honor in the brand/full-line category. The key trio of Mercedes creatives -- Andy Hirsch, Randy Saitta and Marty Orzio -- brought their winning ways to new Mercedes agency Merkley Newman Harty, New York, which was honored with two silvers and a gold. Arnold Communications, Boston, won the most awards, two golds and eight silvers for its Volkswagen of America work.
