Lowe nears decision on new president

Lowe & Partners/SMS is believed to be close to filling its vacant president spot, left open by Robert Kantor's departure in January. The agency is said to be considering picking two people to jointly manage its New York operation. Among the rumored contenders is Rob Quish, Ammirati Puris Lintas exec VP-multinational client director on the Iridium account He could not be reached for comment. A Lowe spokesman said no decision has been made. The agency is also considering a name change to include current principals.
