Lowe settles breakaway suit

Published on .

Lowe Direct, a unit of Lowe & Partners/SMS, New York, said today it has settled its lawsuit against Lieber, Levett, Koenig, Farese & Babcock. Five Lowe Direct managers left in October to form LLKFB; Lowe then sued for a restraining order and punitive damages, claiming the entrepreneurs had stolen files and used other unfair means to poach clients and employees. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but Lowe said LLKFB has agreed not to "solicit further" clients or employees of Lowe Direct.
