Lucent trims list of contenders

Lucent Technologies has cut the $50 million-plus review for its unnamed spin-off to BBDO Worldwide, DDB Worldwide, Deutsch and Y&R Advertising, all New York; Leo Burnett USA, Chicago; and FCB Worldwide, San Francisco, according to executives close to the situation. Richard Roth & Associates, Chappaqua, N.Y., is the consultant.
