Lufthansa appoints U.K. new media house

LONDON -- Lufthansa German Airlines has appointed Brann Interactive to manage the online strategy and implementation of the airline's U.K. and Ireland Web sites (

The appointment, immediately following that of Guinness Worldwide, will result in a Web site that is intended to back into the core functionality of the main German site (, which includes features such as timetables, flight booking and air miles statements.

The account has moved with Account Planner Richard Houston, who has joined Brann Interactive from Webmedia Group, where he worked on the account for two years. Mr. Houston says the new relationship with Mark Davies, marketing manager Lufthansa U.K. and Ireland, to whom he will report, will begin with a site audit and rationalization "to establish in which direction the main opportunities lie."
