Lufthansa, T-Online set up Internet booking system

FRANKFURT/BONN--Deutsche Lufthansa and Deutsche Telekom's T-Online International have announced a joint plan to set up an Internet-based flight booking system for private and business travelers.

In addition, information on Lufthansa's services, such as Miles & More, Lufthansa Specials and flight schedules will be provided. Facilities will be extended over the course of this year to include hotel booking and car rental, for example. Lufthansa E-Commerce has been charged with developing the technical details.

T-Online is the market leader in Germany, with around 4 million members, leading the No. 2, AOL, with around 1.5 million members.
