Masterfoods USA Buys 30-Second Spot

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Masterfoods USA, Hackettstown, N.J., today purchased a spot during the Super Bowl for its M&M's chocolate candies brand.

The 30-second ad, "Hotel," will run during the fourth quarter.

Pillow chocolate
Developed by Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide, New York, the spot features a man entering a fancy boutique hotel where he is asked if he would like the turn-down service, which includes a chocolate on his pillow.

'Red,' the spokescandy
At the end of the evening, M&M spokescandy "Red" appears on the pillow.

The ad has aired previously only in movie theaters.
