Maalox to salute heroes

Published on .

Ciba Geigy Corp. has set up the "One Minute Maalox" Awards to honor citizens who've saved lives on a moment's notice. Using as a spokesman real-life hero "Chicago Hope" actor Mark Harmon--who saved the life of a car accident victim near his Brentwood, Calif., home earlier this year--the company next January will honor 10 people with $5,000 cash, an additional $1,000 to a charity of their choice and assist with medical expenses. Ads from Grey Advertising, New York, are expected next year.
