Magnet Interactive Group, Washington D.C., laid off employees at its Detroit office on Aug. 7. Magnet, which opened the interactive production facility in May, decided to consolidate production at its Washington D.C. and Los Angeles offices, said Basel Dalloul, chairman and CEO. "We've repositioned the Detroit office as a business development and client services facility," Mr. Dalloul said. Of the 19 people in the office, Mr. Dalloul said some were laid off, and others were offered jobs in Los Angeles and Washington D.C.
