Think makes Seattle agency buy

Think New Ideas, New York, acquired Herring/Newman, Seattle, an agency with $55 million in billings in 1997 and clients including Hewlett-Packard Co. and Westin Hotels & Resorts. Terms were not disclosed. Herring CEO Bill Tolliver will remain as general manager of renamed Think Seattle, and president Phil Herring will join Think's corporate marketing team.
