Daniel J. Sutherland last month was named president of M/A/R/C Research, Irving, Texas. The company is the marketing research arm of M/A/R/C Group, a marketing company whose other core business is Targetbase Marketing, a database marketing agency. Mr. Sutherland has been charged with seeking new-business opportunities, while maintaining the close ties between the scientific and analytical sides of M/A/R/C. Mr. Sutherland says the aggregate of both businesses makes the company a formidable player in the targeted marketing arena.
