MapQuest expands its ad opportunities

Published on .

Internet map site MapQuest is rolling out new advertising options geared at driving consumers into retail stores. Its SuperSite program creates a mini site that helps users locate an advertiser's nearest store location, along with coupons and frequency cards. With MapBrand Buttons, users click on a button branded with an advertisers' icon, which triggers store locations to appear on a user's MapQuest map. MapQuest is also selling Directory Search, allowing phone and search companies to sponsor local phone searches.
