Bass Hotels & Resorts Holiday Inn on March 22 will break a new round of TV spots featuring recurring character "Mark the Slacker" during CBS' coverage of the men's NCAA basketball tournament. Created by Fallon, Minneapolis, the spots continue the storyline started in 1999 -- but add a twist in the plot.

After his parents turn down his request for a rewards program, Mark -- finally -- moves out of the house and into a Holiday Inn. In a second spot, Mark -- bare-chested and in a towel -- takes over a podium at a business dinner to ask where the pool is. The spots continue their focus on business traveler perks.

Ross Brockley, the actor who plays Mark, will judge a slam dunk contest during the NCAA tournament. The campaign will also air on National Football League, Major League Baseball and comedy programming. -- Kate MacArthur
