MARKETER NOMINEES SOUGHT FIRST TIME AA/NAA AWARD WILL GO TO NEWSPAPER BOOSTER

In June, Advertising Age in cooperation with Newspaper Association of America will select the Newspaper Marketer of the Year.

The winner will be an individual who developed an unusual concept that increased sales, awareness or market share of newspapers locally, regionally or nationally.

Anyone who has had an impact on the newspaper business is eligible-an editor who created a new section; a marketing executive who directed a successful new campaign; a salesman who developed a winning advertising property or promotion; or a circulation manager who boosted subscription sales at a newspaper.

Nominations for this first newspaper marketing achievement award should be made at the NAA's annual convention in New Orleans April 24-26, with the selection being announced at the association's Marketing Conference on June 26 and in an Advertising Age feature that same day.
