Marketer sweetens the air at carnival

Published on .

RIO DE JANEIRO -- The orange-flavored drink Top Fruit will literally take to the airwaves at the Sambodromo, the place where the samba schools go on parade every carnival.

Between parades, the 33 special machines will scent the air with the smell of oranges. After the air has been scented, loudspeakers will announce that the soft drink is available at fast food kiosks at the Sambodromo. Nova Amer ica markets Top Fruit.
