Published on .

Postage stamp sales at ATMs are the opening step in a bid by MasterCard International, Purchase,. N.Y., to redefine services available at ATMs. MasterCard, which owns and operates the global MasterCard/Cirrus ATM Network, said stamp sales could be possible at some ATMs in mid-1997. Other items under consideration for possible distribution through ATMs include phone cards, traveler's checks, coupons and transportation passes.
