Mazda turns to 1 shop in Japan

Mazda Motor Corp. consolidated its Japanese account at Hakuhodo, dropping Dentsu and two other agencies. A spokesman said Mazda decided to move before Ford Motor Co. took effective control of the troubled automaker this month. He said the shift doesn't affect the relationship of Foote, Cone & Belding, Santa Ana, Calif., with Mazda's ailing U.S. division, which could go into review if new ads don't revive sales.
