Gruner & Jahr AG International Magazine Division President Axel Ganz has focused most of his attention on this monthly book with a sweeping, $5 million redesign that adds more and bolder pictures, and shorter and punchier stores on topics as varied as new chicken recipes that work, to Brooke Shields at 30. Jumps are gone and new attention is being devoted to fashion and beauty. "We're trying to create a very fast-paced, tightly edited book that recognizes that women are hard pressed for time," said Publisher Barbara Litrell.
