McCann wins more Esso/Exxon in Latin America

NEW YORK -- McCann-Erickson Worldwide has picked up the Esso ad account in three additional countries : Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. It already handles the business (known as Exxon in the U.S.) in 50 countries around the world, including seven others in Latin America.

The account, which sources put at more than $25m, was won without a pitch. It was previously with J Walter Thompson.

McCann also picked up the estimated $19.6m U.K. Esso business in March. JWT resigned its tenure on that market following its win of rival Shell's $80m- $100m European advertising account in January.
