McD to aid U.K. soccer league

McDonald's in the U.K. has been awarded official restaurant status by theEnglish Football Association's Premier League, giving McDonald's the right touse the Premier League logo in all marketing. The fast-food chain will alsoparticipate in a two-year, $3 million anti-hooligan campaign. McDonald's onMonday broke a new TV campaign by Leo Burnett Co., London, starring David Platt,captain of England's national soccer team.
