McD's, Chevron to co-brand outlets

Published on .

McDonald's Corp. and Chevron Corp. today announced their intent to open retail outlets combining McDonald's restaurants and Chevron service stations in a dozen states in the Western U.S. The companies already operate 12 co-branded units in Texas, Louisiana and Oregon. McDonald's in the past has tested restaurants at Amoco, Texaco and Mobil gas stations. Satellite locations represent the greatest growth vehicle for the fast food chain in the U.S. McDonald's will open twice as many satellites this year--nearly 1000--as it will full-sized restaurants in the U.S.
