McD's to unveil new cost cuts

McDonald's Corp., Oak Brook, Ill., is to disclose to Wall Street analysts July 14 plans for an estimated $100 million in new cost savings measures along with results of a productivity study. Lehaman Bros. analyst Michtell Speiser said one goal is to "quicken responsiveness to market trends," but it's unclear how marketing and advertising programs would be affected. McDonald's officials could not be reached at deadline.
