MCI/News Corp. launched a Web site called iGuide
on Wednesday, which was originally only intended to be part of the larger service before MCI a couple weeks ago partnered with Microsoft, ultimately wreaking havoc on the venture. iGuide features an area called inSites, a database of more than 16,000 Web site reviews written by iGuide editorial staffers. iGuide has other interest areas focused on politics, movies, books, music, work/money and TV. iGuide will soon begin selling advertising on its site. Rates are undisclosed.
