SAN FRANCISCO- Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising has promoted Mary Doan and Rob Ingalls to continue the team operating structure developed by outgoing CEO Michael Jeary, who shifted to the same post in New York.

Ms. Doan, 40, was named exec VP-general manager from management director. Mr. Ingalls, 43, was promoted to vice chairman-executive creative director from creative director.

Bob Rightford, 60, CEO at Ogilvy & Mather Rightford Searle-Tripp & Makin, Johannesburg, will retire at the end of the year. , now executive creative director and chairman, will succeed Mr. Rightford as CEO.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.-Lee Wilcox has been named to the new post of VP-marketing at fX, Fox's new basic cable network.

He had been sales development director at Time magazine.

OBITUARY

BANGKOK-Kamthorn Kamolvarinthip, 49, area chairman of Lintas Asia-Pacific, died of a heart attack June 5.

He joined Lintas in 1970 as the account exec of its new Bankok office, which became Thailand's top agency under his tenure.
