McNeil tells NAD it will drop Tylenol ad

McNeil Consumer Products Co. has agreed with a decision from the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus to discontinue an Extra Strength Tylenol spot from Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising's Healthcare Connection, New York. At issue was whether Tylenol appeared to claim superiority in treating "really tough headaches" over American Home Products Corp.'s Advil.
