Media Metrix, Information Resources introduce new service

Media Metrix and Information Resources have launched e-Scan, a new service using the combined capabilities of both companies, to help consumer products companies track where specific brand/category buyers go on the Internet and to measure their responsiveness to Internet advertising. E-Scan will enable marketers to assess the value of their online marketing investment and its impact on purchase behavior. Procter & Gamble Co., one of the initial clients of e-Scan, helped create the new Internet measurement system.
