Fairchild Publications, New York, said it is suspending publication of its 20,000-circulation W Europe as of the August issue. Insiders said they expected the June/July issue of the French- and German-language, 10 times-a-year title, to be the last. In December, Fairchild suspended an Italian-language edition and began producing the magazine in the U.S. rather than Paris. The move will have no impact on the 258,000 circulation W, based in New York.

tv!, a new Denver-based cable programming preview channel that Liberty Media Corp. began testing last month, will include programming from Americana Television Network, Cable Health Club, Cartoon Network, Country Music Television, The Disney Channel, Encore, The Game Channel, The Learning Channel, The Military Channel, National Empowerment Television, NewSport, Outdoors Motorsports Collectibles Network, Starz!, The Talk Channel and Turner Classic Movies.

IBM, Compaq Computer and Hewlett-Packard will advertise on the Technology Information Network, Englewood, Colo. Tech TV consists of four weekly programs on computing-two infomercials and two news shows with paid ads. It is produced by Ziff-Davis Publishing and Missing Link Communications. Sixty-second spots cost $16,500. Retailers considering the network, which bows this month, include Computer City and Comp USA.
