Media shuffle at Jacobs Suchard

Published on .

BREMEN -- Kraft Jacobs Suchard here has decided to re-appoint incumbent agencies to its $170m German media account.

However, the allocation of business will change. Ogilvy & Mather's Media Consult will now handle planning and buying for the company's coffee ranges, while BBDO's Media Direction will work on the confectionery brands. The shift is due to BBDO's recent acquisition of Hamburg media agency G.F.M.O, which holds the account for rival coffee roaster Tchibo.

Also pitching for the KJS business were J Walter Thompson Media, Mediapolis and Michael Conrad & Leo Burnett's media unit, all Frankfurt-based.
