Mediacom wins $30m Rover media account in Germany

DUESSELDORF -- BMW, which recently bought Rover, has recently moved the U.K. car maker's estimated $30m media buying account in Germany to MediaCom, Duesseldorf, from Initiative Media, Hamburg, the media buying arm of Ammirati Puris Lintas, which handles Rover Cars advertising worldwide. MediaCom already places BMW's advertising on German television.

In March the Rover Group awarded its global Land Rover account to WCRS, London. Last year the Rover and BMW media buying accounts were consolidated into a single $66m account in the U.K. with Zenith.
