(May 25, 2001) -- Interface service provider Mediadome is launching a service that allows companies to offer consumers branded, downloadable super-browsers that are capable of running several Web sites simultaneously and offering integrated content placement.

The company's first client is CNET Networks, for which Mediadome created a browser for video and PC game enthusiasts on CNET's GameSpot Web site (www.Gamespot.com/mediadome). The browser will include product news, reviews, downloads and pricing information.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Mediadome is funded by Intel Corp. and Superscape, a maker of interactive 3D software, based in the U.K. -- Catharine P. Taylor
