Mercedes-Benz lines up agencies for U.K. account

Published on .

LONDON -- Daimler-Benz's U.K. subsidiary Mercedes-Benz is refusing to confirm press reports of the shortlist for its estimated $13.5m account. Agencies said to be pitching are: BST BDDP, Simons Palmer Clemmow Johnson and Barker & Ralston.

The business came up for grabs in October when Leo Burnett terminated its four year tenure because of a claimed potential account conflict in the future with Fiat. The agency is one of two regional networks handling Fiat across Europe.

The Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire-based Mercedes is expected to see presentations in January.
