Merger will bring ad merger

Staples, Westborough, Mass., and Office Depot, Delray Beach, Fla. will consolidate their advertising accounts, together worth $80 million, with one of the current agencies upon completion of their merger, said Staples. The Staples account is currently handled by Cliff Freeman & Partners, New York, for creative, and Pro Media, Needham, Mass., while Office Depot's account is with J. Walter Thompson, Chicago.
